This summer I am offering songwriting classes online so wherever you are in the world, you can participate. I am currently offering one on one instruction. I work by identifying your strengths, areas that need improvement, and work with you towards specific goals, and strengthening your original voice and creative spirit. I teach hands-on through the process of songwriting, and you will learn structure and songwriting techniques applicable to your song/interest/genre. You bring your ideas, and we shape your song together.

🐢🎶🎶🎶 Learn songwriting with Erika (1 hr+ class-if you are happy after the first one, I ask you to make a commitment to 10 lessons-can be weekly or bi-weekly): $50
I have studied with songwriting greats such as Ferron, Mary Gauthier, and Bruce Guthro, co-written with hit writers in Nashville such as Paul Jefferson, and collaborated with artists such as El Jones. I am comfortable in many genres, and have a double major from Oberlin in Music Composition for Social Change and Creative Writing. I have won awards such as the Watson Fellowship and Music Nova’s Inspirational Recording of the Year, been a finalist in contests such as the UK Songwriting Contest and the International Acoustic Music Awards, and performed on stages around the world.
